Our chefs prepare each dish to order using traditional Cantonese methods, with ingredients sourced locally where we can and brought in from China where authenticity calls for it.
Our roast duck is the reason a lot of people come back. We roast fresh every single day, which is not something most takeaways commit to. We are also the only place in London serving authentic Guilin rice noodles, a Guangxi speciality built on a slow-simmered broth and a proper spread of toppings. If you live nearby and have not tried them yet, start there.

The full menu is available for collection, so you are not limited to a short list of the usual suspects. Popular orders from our Pimlico regulars include:
- Signature Roast Duck, available as a portion, half or whole
- Guilin Rice Noodles with pork and beef, braised beef, braised chicken or vegetarian
- All Day Dim Sum including Har Gaw, siu mai, Shanghai soup dumplings and cheung fan

- Claypot Dishes such as beef brisket, braised pork belly and sea-spice eggplant

There is a full vegetarian section too, covering dumplings, claypots, salads and our vegetarian Guilin rice noodles. Please do speak to us about allergens before ordering, as our kitchen handles gluten, shellfish, nuts and soy.

Getting Here from Pimlico
Bamboo Basket is on Upper Tachbrook Street in Victoria, and if you live in Pimlico you are already on our doorstep. Depending on where you are in the neighbourhood, the walk can take as little as 5 minutes.
On foot: From the northern end of Pimlico, simply head up Tachbrook Street and you will find us before you reach the market. From the southern end near the river, walk north along Belgrave Road or Warwick Way and turn onto Upper Tachbrook Street. It is a straightforward and pleasant walk through a quiet residential area.
By tube: Pimlico station is on the Victoria line. One stop north brings you to Victoria, from where we are a 10-minute walk. That said, for most Pimlico residents the walk to us is quicker than the tube.
By bus: The 24 and 360 bus routes both run through Pimlico and stop close to Victoria, putting you within easy reach of Upper Tachbrook Street.
By car: We are just off Vauxhall Bridge Road. Street parking is available on Upper Tachbrook Street and the surrounding roads, and the Tachbrook Street area is generally straightforward to park in compared to busier parts of central London.
By bike: Upper Tachbrook Street is a quiet residential road and easy to cycle to from anywhere in Pimlico. Santander Cycle docking stations are available at Pimlico station and near Victoria.
